Scania, a Swedish manufacturer of commercial vehicles, plans to launch a green energy-efficient bus in India in April this year that will break the traditional concept of fuel, such as the use of biogas and ethanol.

Krister Thulin, Pre-sales and Marketing Manager, Commercial Commercial Scania, Scania India: We already have an ethanol-powered bus in operation in Stockholm and are planning to introduce the technology to the Indian market this April.
Scania is currently discussing with the Indian government on how to promote passenger car sales and related issues with ethanol blended fuels.
